Feng Shui Your Own Home
Lesson 1.2
Step One: Complete the Floorplan from the Outside

The most important step you can take in improving the energy of your home is to make sure that you have a complete floorplan. In the previous lesson you learned how to complete the floorplan from the inside. You also learned what products can help you do this.

The floorplan is the birds-eye-view (or blueprint) of your home.

A complete shape is a square or a rectangle. If the floorplan of your home is a square or a rectangle... Congratulations! You have already in place the most important part of Feng Shui: completeness.

If you live in a home that does not have a floorplan in the shape of a square or a rectangle you need to complete the shape of your floorplan.

L-shaped or C-shaped homes are considered incomplete and need to be completed. The same applies for homes with irregular shapes.

The most commonly used Feng Shui cure to complete a floorplan is a quartz crystal planted in the ground with the tip up.

Take a look at some samples of incomplete floorplan shapes:

In this example you would use 1 quartz crystal buried in the ground to complete the top right corner of the floorplan shape. In this example you would use 2 quartz crystals buried in the ground to complete the top right corner of the shape and the bottom left corner of the floorplan shape. In this example you would use 4 quartz crystals buried in the ground to complete each corner of the floorplan shape.
The numbers above indicate the life area, for a map of the life areas please visit: http://www.fengshuiforus.com/Pages/9LifeAreas.html

Most homes would not require more than 4 quartz crystals, there are exceptions to this rule, but these are the type that need to be handled by a Licensed Feng Shui for Us™ Practitioner.

PRODUCT
OF THE WEEK:

Quartz Crystal

How to use the
quartz crystal:

Wash your quartz crystal with a mild natural soap and water (avoid soaps that contain ingredients made from petroleum) and then let it sit in salt water for at least 20 minutes.

Mark the corner where the two external walls would meet if the floorplan was a square or a rectangle. Dig a small hole - about 4 inches (10 cm) deep and about twice as thick as your quartz crystal.

Drop the quartz crystal in the ground with the tip up, making sure that there is about 1" (2.5 cm) between the top of the tip and the topsoil. Put some of the dirt back in to cover it up.

Last, pour the salt water over the spot.

If you wish, say an appropriate prayer according to your belief system regarding your acceptance of wholeness, completeness and fulfillment in your life.
