When people come to your home for the first time, before they even remark on the building they will see the number, and the number is what lets them know they have found the right address.

In the United States, most homes have the number on the mailbox.

Therefore the most important element of your curb appeal is the mailbox.

Make sure your mailbox is attracting beneficial Chi (life force) to your home by:

1. Keep the post vertical (not slanted)

2. Keep the mailbox clean and in good condition.

3. Make sure that the numbers are clearly written on both sides of the mailbox, and that they are of a size that can easily be read from a moving car.

4. Give the mailbox post a base, so that it doesn't look like a lonely flamingo. This base can be made with flowers, rocks or other type of landscaping.

5. Replace a broken mailbox as soon as you can. Re-paint a rusty mailbox with appropriate paint (e.g. Rustoleum) or replace it.

If you don't have a mailbox, then pay special attention to the house or apartment numbers, wherever they are placed (outside wall, door, etc.)
