About two years ago, when vibrational healer Bill Austin and I were working on the Feng Shui Cures for the Planet Healing Book, we had discussed all the information that was coming out regarding the Mayan calendar and predictions for the year 2012 and how many of them, including a big ticket movie, carried fear and panic inducing frequencies. At that time, I asked Bill if he would create a healing image to help people release any fears or less than love frequencies associated with the Mayan calendar, astrological predictions and fears about what might happen in the year 2012, which he did.
As 2012 approaches I thought it would be a good idea to make available to my readers a variety of products containing this healing image, to help them navigate the year without giving in to fears or panic about what the future will bring.
Before doing this, it seemed like a good idea to do some research and see all the ranges of information about 2012 available on the internet. I was surprised to see how websites, books and videos about 2012 have multiplied. I was also surprised to see how messages of fear, destruction and "end of times" greatly surpass the messages of hope, enlightenment or transcendence
Time to Set the Record Straight
The first thing that is important to keep in mind regarding 2012 is that many cultures have had "end of times" myths and set dates for it, since we have recorded history. Every generation seems to have some future date to fear, expecting the dreaded apocalypses. (It is interesting to note that the term apocalypses simply means "lifting the veil.")
The second thing to keep in mind is that the Mayan calendar does not predict the end of the world or even the end of times. The calendar does en in 2012, but all this means is that one cycle is ending and another one begins, just like every December 31st marks the end of a year and the next day there is a new year beginning.
Contrary to some popular rumors that have been circulating in the past few years about predictions, there is nothing in Chinese Astrology that indicates that the year 2012 is the "end of times."
Will We Find ET's in 2012?
Could be! Not the kind most people imagine, though.
In the fall of 2011 NASA launched the Curiosity rover headed for Mars. It will arrive there in August of the year 2012. The mission of the Curiosity rover is to investigate the possibility that there could be life on Mars.
You see, 30 years ago any reputable scientist who hinted that he might believe that life was possible other than on planet Earth would have been immediately shunned and ridiculed by the scientific community. The main argument for this was that Earth was the only place in the Universe that had water. Well, that has changed in the last 10 years, when new technology and science has established that water is ubiquitous in the Universe – in other words, that it is everywhere. The tails of comets are mostly made of water. Just in our solar system, there is at least one moon in Saturn and one in Jupiter that have water in the form of ice.
Scientists have also found some evidence that there may be water in Mars. While analyzing a martian rock fragment of an asteroid of Martian origin that fell into Earth scientists found structures that may be amino-acids, the building blocks of proteins and life. The last rover to come back from Mars also indicated the presence of a gas that may be associated with the presence of bacterial life: methane. The Curiosity rover is going to further investigate the presence of methane in Mars.
The most optimistic scientists today believe there is a 90% probability that the rover will confirm that bacterial life either exists or has existed in Mars. If the Mars rover confirms that there is or has been bacterial life in that planet, it will forever change the paradigm of humanity's beliefs and relationship to the cosmos. The possibilities will become infinite. I can only compare this to the change and paradigm that the Old World had upon discovering that the Earth was a sphere, and not flat, and that it rotated around the sun, as opposed to having all the heavenly bodies rotate around it.
What Information about 2012 Can Be Trusted?
My advice to you is that before you believe or take on any of the information you come across on any website or book, you take a look at who is imparting this information. Ask yourself these questions and check the answers with your heart:
