Before and After

THIS PAGE IS STILL UNDER CONSTRUCTION, BUT YOU ARE WELCOME TO TAKE A PEEK

When reading most Feng Shui books I find the photos shared with the reader are either those of upscale homes where both a Feng Shui practitioner and an Interior Designer with a big budget have been at work, or simply photos taken from stock photography packages that sort of match the text that is being offered.

What I am offering you here are photos taken either by me or by my clients of real homes of ordinary people, who are all extraordinary in their own way, and who opened their minds and the doors of their homes to the ideas of Feng Shui.

The above image was what this client saw every day as she pulled into her driveway. It was not inviting.

With my suggestions, her own ideas and super green thumb, she made this former eye-sore into a welcoming sight for her and a gift for her neighbors.

Total Cost: $10

Time devoted: One lovely Saturday afternoon shopping with friends at flea markets and nurseries and one hour of gardening work.

Windows behind headboards are a big Feng Shui [and Architecture!] "NO-NO." However, there is no other way in which this bedroom can be arranged.

This client insulated the window on her own time and before I arrived for her second follow up consultation. We took the beautiful fabric she was using to cover up her high-tech but too stark white Nikken comforter and placed it on the wall, both to make the window visually disappear and to add fire [and therefore more passion] to her room. The checkered pattern pink sheet folded over the comforter [as opposed to hidden underneath it] and the burgundy pillow covers make the bed feel cozier.

Total Cost: Not a penny

Half and hour to insulate the window

Twenty minutes to re-arrange the space
