How many sessions does it take to completely "Feng Shui" a home or business?
In order to be able to say "My home is all Feng-shuied" I suggest that you get three Feng Shui sessions, with a minimum of two weeks and a maximum of three months in between them.
What does a consultation entail?
There are certain requirements for a space to promote and nourish triving life. These are listed in my Nine Steps to Feng Shui System. When doing a consultation, I am guided by this system.
First Session:
We start by taking a look inside and outside the building to figure out if it has a complete shape, if there are no situations that could be described as extreme [e.g. a hallway that is "too narrow"] and if the Life Energy is flowing properly. These are conditions that have to do with the architecture of the place, basically, how it was built. With Feng Shui, you can minimize or eliminate any negative effects of these building features, while energizing the whole place. This is done in the first consultation. At the end of this consultation your home will be 52% Feng Shui optimized.
Second Session:
We analyze how the building is relating, connecting and tuning in to nature; how the energies of nature are manifested in the interior; and what the space is expressing through the use of symbols. This second session is related to the interior design of a place, things you could change [like the colors of the walls or the kind of carpet] but at a high cost. With Feng Shui, you can harmonize colors, materials and shapes by making minor changes in a room. At the end of this consultation your home will be 85% Feng Shui optimized.
Third Session:
On the third session, we deal with the more subtle part of Feng Shui, things that are easily movable. We clear any old and stagnant energies, discuss ways in which you may better deal with clutter, assign and enhance the Nine Life Areas and suggest more empowering furniture placement. At the end of this consultation your home will be 100% Feng Shui optimized.
These guidelines for a first, second and third consultation are not rigid, but actually quite flexible and adapted to the needs of every client. For example, if a client feels very strongly that he or she should enhance a certain life area on the first consultation, then we will do that right away.
How long is a session?
A session is two hours long.
