Healing Family Hurts and Unleashing Creativity Feng Shui Intensive Workshop
In Feng Shui we identify 9 life areas. One of these life areas is related to Health and Family and it is represented in a home at the center of the left wall (when seen from the front door, looking inside).
According to the 2000 US Census, 62 percent of American children are from divorced families, and according to the AMA 72 percent of American homes harbor someone with an addiction. Some therapists believe 85% of American families may be dysfunctional. There is much need for healing family issues, but blaming and healing cannot coexist.
In this soul searching workshop we will be guided by Feng Shui wisdom (based on Traditional Chinese Philosophy) to unravel our family histories and rewrite them in a healthy script. Some of the topics we will discuss:
- The family as movie cast or theatre troop. (Did you ever as a child wonder if it was all an act prepared for you?)
- Who was your petty tyrant? (Carlos Castaneda's teacher, Don Juan, explores the role of challenging people in our lives)
- The lessons of the Little Soul and the Sun. (What did you agree to before this life time?)
- What about Karma? (Is karma real, or is it a fallacy? Why are previous memories erased?)
- The anatomy of forgiveness - The story of the Fast Runner. (A native North Canadian tribe teaches lessons about survival)
- Soul Nutrition (Julia Cameron suggests artist dates with yourself as a way to nurture the spirit)
- How the Dining Areas reflect family quality.
- We get two chances at family. (at least)
- How to arrange Family Pictures and how to make a Collage of Friends.
- Who are You NOW and what can you Create?
Great handouts to take home!

Feng Shui takes care of the balance and harmony of our living environments [our dwelling and work places]. There is a larger environment the planet we live in that we need to take care of, and there is also an inner environment our bodies that we need to tend to.
In Feng Shui, each area of life is related to a certain portion of the house. Each life area is also related to one of the five elements: water, wood, fire, earth and metal.
The elements are expressed in the body as follows:
water: kidneys, bladder, bones, ears, hair
wood: liver, gall bladder, muscles, eyes
fire: heart, small intestine, blood vessels
earth: stomach, spleen, body fat, connecting tissues
metal: lungs, large intestine [including the colon], skin, nerves
It is fascinating to learn about the connections between the different parts of the body and the five flavors salt, sour, bitter, sweet and spicy hot. It is wonderful to find out that health conditions can be helped with sounds and colors too. The repression of certain emotions may be affecting certain organs as well, and conversely, learning to express them will release tensions and toxins from those organs.
Some of the materials you will be presented with in this class were given to me by Dr. Susana Kronfeld, a practitioner of Chinese Medicine. They include breathing excercises and clapping rhythms to help harmonize and balance the body.
Learn how conditions in your home may be revealing or giving you warning signals as to what is going on in your body. Learn to program yourself to heal as you improve the energy in your home.
Chinese masters found out a long time ago what are the basic needs for the care of the body. These basic principles will be presented to you in this class.

Life Mission and Goal Setting Feng Shui Class
Life Missions, Money & Career!
Ancient Feng Shui Wisdom will help you identify your life mission, understand money, and advance your career!
WHAT IS YOUR CALLING?
The thought that every person has a Life Mission may seem to many like just a nice idea or an intriguing concept, however, the ancient Chinese masters knew that connecting with one's true calling is a valid aspiration of every person. They knew this because they had observed that people who were not following their Life Work developed particular kinds of illnesses.
Dr. Kronfeld, a practitioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine tells me that an old school acupuncturist can work in certain parts of a patient's body to help the person reconnect with their life mission. Though she will not reveal which parts of the body would be worked on - these are secrets transmitted from master to student for many generations - I did get her to admit that they were related to the path in the body that channels the water element.
This is concurrent with the Feng Shui correlation of the "Career, Life Mission and Individuality" Life Area with the water element.
