| Strong health and family ties are the engines that power our physical and emotional existence. Health and family problems are to be handled first when applying Feng Shui to your home or office. They are the rock foundation upon which you build the edifice of your life.
Your self respect and ability to interrelate with others depend on the quality of the family in which you were brought up. People who grew up in dysfunctional families have a harder time deciding about their life paths, choosing a mate, and stabilizing their marriages.
If you come from a dysfunctional family, even if you enjoy excellent health, chances are your strength is affected by insecurity and a general feeling of uncertainty. You will need to pay special attention to this area of your life and to the areas in your space that represent it.
When you suffer from persistent (chronic) health conditions, the physical and emotional future of your family is put at risk. A healthy body and a clear mind enable you to respond to the needs of your loved ones, family and friends.
If you do not have a family, or if the members of your family refuse to let go of resentments and grudges, make sure you build strong friendships for life.
Our lives benefit from involvement in the communities of which we are a part. Starting with our neighborhood, our town or city, the county we live in, and so forth, we can make a difference in the quality of life. You might benefit greatly, both materially and spiritually from joining a club or a group that gets together with a specific purpose. All community projects start with someone coming up with an idea and then being able to motivate enough people to support it. You do not have to be a crusader to get involved. You can decide the degree to which you want to participate.
The more people you know in your actual environment, the more the possibilities for networking and making things happen, both for personal and altruistic purposes.
