My Favorite Stuff - Part I
A friend of mine, Bill Austin, recently sent out in his healing newsletter a list of his favorite books and movies. This gave me the idea to share with you some of the work that has given me strength and direction in my healing path as well as the development of the Nine Steps to Feng Shui System®.
This week I share:
My Favorite Researchers:
These are brave scientists that are bridging the gap between wholistic healing and science. They are finally helping us answer the questions:
- Does chi [life force] really exist?
- Why does the action of Feng Shui on the surrounding environment is so important? Why does it work?
Dr. Valerie Hunt and the Human Energy Field
Dr. Hunt is Emeritus Professor in the UCLA Department of Physiological Sciences. For 40 years she has been a physiology researcher and university professor. She was the first to discover through research the relationship between changes in bioenergy fields and human behavior and experience. Dr. Hunt has provided irrefutable evidence that the Human Energy Field (aura) does exist and that the person's emotional, mental and physical state are expressed in it. The last 25 years of her research have been devoted to the study of the human energy field.

Bruce Lipton and the Biology of Belief
Dr. Bruce Lipton is an internationally recognized authority in bridging science and spirit, who began his scientific career as a cell biologist and moved on to examining the principles of quantum physics and how they might be integrated into his understanding of the cell’s information processing systems. His research at Stanford University’s School of Medicine, revealed that the environment, operating though the membrane, controlled the behavior and physiology of the cell, turning genes on and off. His discoveries ran counter to the established scientific view that life is controlled by the genes. Read more about Bruce Lipton.
Rupert Sheldrake and Morphic Resonance
Rupert Sheldrake is one of the world’s most innovative biologists and best known for his theory of morphic fields and morphic resonance, which leads to a vision of a living, developing universe with its own inherent memory. "An organism is more that the sum of its parts." He first worked in developmental biology at Cambridge University, and is currently Director of the Perrott-Warrick project. You may have heard of one of his most famous works: Dogs that Know When Their Owners are Coming Home, and Other Unexplained Powers of Animals (1999) Click here to take a look at some of his amazing research or search for his name in YouTube to watch some interviews.
In the future I'll share with you my favorite healing modalities and how they interact with Feng Shui.
