Creating a Harmonious Home
Nine principles of Traditional Chinese Philosophy suggest nine steps we can take in order to create supportive and nurturing environments at home and at work.
Steps one to three deal with issues related to the way the home was built and account for 60-65% of your Feng Shui. These steps are:
1 Completing the Floor Plan
2 Balancing Extremes
3 Checking the circulation of the life energy
Steps four to six deal with issues related to the interior design of the space, for example the colors and materials of walls, flooring and furniture. These account for 20 - 25% of your Feng Shui. They are:
4 Tuning in to the timings of nature
5 Coordinating Colors, Shapes and Materials
6 Using the Right Symbols for your culture and belief system
Steps seven to nine deal with the aspects of a home or office building that are very movable and therefore easy to change. This includes maintenance, the arrangement of furniture and accessories and the activation of the nine Life Areas. These account for 10-20% of your Feng Shui. They are:
7 Fixing and Healing
8 Assigning and enhancing the Life Aspirations
9 Power Positions

Decluttering & Organizing Your Home with Feng Shui
Description
Did you know that closet clutter could be blocking the flow of Life Energy in your Wealth, Prosperity and Self Worth Area? Or that the inability to let go of old periodicals (newspapers, magazines, newsletters) could indicate a blockage of the energy in your Career, Life Mission and Individuality Area?
There are several different kinds of clutter, and each of them is related to some area of life. Where the clutter accumulates in your home and office can also give you clues as to which areas of your life need more of your attention at any given time.
In the first session of this class you will learn about the different kinds of clutter and how they may be related to specific behaviors in life.
In the second session we will establish the need for cleanliness and proper organization. You will learn tools that will enable you to free yourself from negative self-definitions, the compulsion to clutter, and the resistance to clean and organize.
In the third session we will explore ways in which you might optimize your housekeeping, which includes approaching housework as a meditative and stress freeing tool, as well as bringing workplace practices into the home.
Learn how you can give positive feedback to your Life by controlling the "stuff" in your space.

FENG SHUI FOR THE HOME I
Solutions of the First Type: In this class, students will learn to perform corrections or cures related to aspects of the home that pertain to the building's structure, (location of walls, columns, height of ceilings, width of hallways, etc), and therefore cannot be changed without doing major remodeling or compromising its stability. These are considered "Earth" cures, having to do with the realm of matter. This class is based in the first three principles of traditional Chinese philosophy. By the end of class, students will be able to: use the principle of "wholeness" to complete the floorplan; use the principle of Yin and Yang with its keyword "balance" to compensate for extremes; use the principle of Ch'i with its keyword "flow" to achieve a healthy circulation of the life force.

FENG SHUI FOR THE HOME II
Solutions of the Second Type: In this class, students will learn to work with harmonizations and checks that can be done to correct issues that could not be changed without high cost or inconvenience, for example the colors and materials of walls, flooring and furniture. With Feng Shui you can make small changes to harmonize colors, materials and shapes, tune in to the natural world and understand the language of our homes so that we can make them tell the stories that will give us the right kind of feedback. In traditional Chinese philosophy, these are considered "Humankind" cures, corresponding to the realm of feelings. This class is based in principles four, five and six of traditional Chinese philosophy. By the end of the class, students will be able to: use the principle of Rhythm with its keyword "timing" to tune in to nature; use the principle of Five Elements with its keyword "harmony" to create pleasing environments; use the principle of Symbology with its keyword "language" to control their space's feedback.

FENG SHUI FOR THE BODY
Nine Principles of Chinese Philosophy apply to the Care of the Body just like
they apply to the Feng Shui of your home or business.
Learn to achieve and maintain internal balance, vitality and harmony through the incorporation
of simple techniques into your daily life.
Feng Shui takes care of the balance and harmony of our living environments [our dwelling and work places]. There is a larger environment the planet we live in that we need to take care of, and there is also an inner environment our bodies that we need to tend to.
In Feng Shui, each area of life is related to a certain portion of the house. Each life area is also related to one of the five elements: water, wood, fire, earth and metal.
The elements are expressed in the body as follows:
water: kidneys, bladder, bones, ears, hair
wood: liver, gall bladder, muscles, eyes
fire: heart, small intestine, blood vessels
earth: stomach, spleen, body fat, connecting tissues
metal: lungs, large intesting [including the colon], skin, nerves
It is fascinating to learn about the connections between the different parts of the body and the five flavors salt, sour, bitter, sweet and spicy hot. It is wonderful to find out that health conditions can be helped with sounds and colors too. The repression of certain emotions may be affecting certain organs as well, and conversely, learning to express them will release tensions and toxins from those organs.
Some of the materials you will be presented with in this class were given to me by Dr. Susana Kronfeld, a practitioner of Chinese Medicine. They include breathing excercises and clapping rhythms to help harmonize and balance the body.
Learn how conditions in your home may be revealing or giving you warning signals as to what is going on in your body. Learn to program yourself to heal as you improve the energy in your home.
Chinese masters found out a long time ago what are the basic needs for the care of the body. These basic principles will be presented to you in this class.
