The Chinese Character
for Water

The Chinese language is not based in an alphabet but in a collection of symbols or ideograms that represent basic ideas. One of these basic symbols is the ideogram for water.

This Chinese Water Character print has a background made of the names for water in over a hundred languages of the Earth, including some archaic languages. The laminated print can be taken with you to many natural places for unique meditations. It is especially helpful for the Career, Life Mission and Individuality area of life and to balance the water element [kidneys, bladder, bones, ears, hair] to "draw" this character on the sand by the beach and let it be washed out or to use water as your invisible "ink" to draw on cement and let it evaporate. Take this print as your model when you go on your meditations. Don't be discouraged if in the beginning your character looks very different from the model, it will get better with practice. You can also use your index finger to trace the character over the print.

The Chinese Character for Water can also be used in place of a waterfall image in the foyer, when placing a waterfall is inconvenient, or when there is excesive confusion as to what the life mission is. Just place the image on the inside of the front door.

In Chinese the concept of static water does not exist, water is always "moving water" or "flowing water." The Chinese character for "water" is composed of three rippled lines representing flowing water.

The essence of water so permeates the Oriental perception of the Universe, that almost three thousand Chinese words or expressions contain the water character.

According to Traditional Chinese Medicine all people are born in a water stage. Females remain in this stage for the first seven years of their life. Men, on the other hand, transition every eight years, so boys stay in a water stage for the first eight years of their lives.

Experts in regression therapy have found that by the age of 7 or 8 (some by 3 or 5) most people have determined what they want to be when they grow up.

A woman's next water period will happen between the ages of 36 and 42. A man's next water period will happen between the ages of 41 and 48.

The Career and Life Mission Prayer:

The Creator has designed
the Perfect Occupation for Me.
It fills my heart with joy,
It gives peace to my mind,
And is a pleasure to perform.
I am Happy,
I am Thankful,
I am Safe.
