Redefining Your Success with Feng Shui
by Moni Castaneda
In the last issue, I promised you that I would share with you my husband's wheels of life ranging from the time when he was unhappy working for somebody else, to the present.
To understand the graphic better, I suggest you download the life areas test at the bottom of this page.
Below are three life area wheels:

As you, can see, in 2007 his "wheel of life" looked nothing like a a wheel, but more like an inverted tear or raindrop (orange lines). After we decided to make changes in our approach to success to have more balance between all of the life areas, his wheel improved, but still was unbalanced (green lines). Life area number 8 was his lowest, because in order to make the changes that were needed there was a period of time when he had little rest. Today (blue lines) his wheel of life is a lot more even, which shows a much better flow of energy in his life. The dips you see -- career and wealth -- have to do with the fact that he still has student loans (Chiropractic college was very expensive!)
I hope this story motivates you to download the life areas test at the bottom of this page so you can take a look at the condition of YOUR wheel of life.
How About Re-defining YOUR Success with Feng Shui?
Feng Shui is a very effective way to express our goals and desires to the Universe. By placing small items in strategic places we use the home as a form of "three dimensional prayer." However, before you get started with your list of requests to the Universe via Feng Shui cures, there are some things you should consider.
Some time ago I listened to an audio-book, based on the law of attraction that focuses on creating wealth, the author asked: "Why can't you have that Rolls Royce? Why can't you have that mansion? Why can't you own your own jet plane?"
My question to you today, though, is "Should you?"
Should you want to have a Rolls Royce? Should you want to have a mansion? Should you want to own a jet plane? Would this really make you happy? Are these true desires of your soul or have you been sold on a particular life style that makes you feel eternally unsatisfied?
I have seen endless messages in our culture that promote lifestyles that, within our current economic system, are only available to a few. I have experienced at some point in my life and seen many others experience feelings of inadequacy, or express the belief that they are missing important things in life because of lack of material goods.
Psychology Professor Tim Kasser has found through research that there is a connection between material wealth and happiness -- up to a certain level, but after the basic human needs are met, further increases in wealth showed no relationship with increased happiness. Furthermore, materialism undermines human well-being. To learn more check out his book "The High Price of Materialism."
What he and his team found was that most people find happiness in strengthening connections with others, community participation, and the care of nature.
What Really Matters
I want you to use Feng Shui to get what you want -- you will -- but I also would like for you to want more of what matters. I do not believe in deprivation or frugality. I believe in having the abundance of the things that will make us truly happy.
There is nothing wrong with wanting a Mercedes or a BMW, but with a luxury car come greater repair expenses, more expensive insurance, and increased apprehension about the safety of the car. Is that what you want?
There is nothing wrong with wanting a mansion, but with a mansion comes a greater demand for time and energy cleaning up, or hiring a staff to clean and maintain the house for you, which may also mean having to do payroll. Is that what you want?
Make sure that when you ask the Universe for something, it is truly what will make you happy. You can only know what will make you happy if life area number 8 -- Wisdom, Self-Knowledge and Rest -- is strong. If you do not know who you are, how are you going to make decisions that bring you happiness?
Rather than asking for the most expensive of everything, ask for the ideal home, the ideal car, the ideal furniture FOR YOU, when it comes to material goods (life area number 4 -- Wealth Prosperity and Self Worth)
Don't forget to ask for fun and time to enjoy it. Remember to request more love, more companionship and more friendship.
Get MORE Out of Life!
I want you to want MORE, a life rich with those relationships, connections, activities AND the material goods that you need and truly appreciate.
What really matters to you? Have you thought about this? Are your desires truly yours or are they someone else's desires or expectations?
Have you identified your values? What is most important to you?
If you find your desires, dreams and expectations don't match your values, then most likely they were implanted in you by media or the influence of people around you, or they are a compensation for unaddressed insecurities.
Once you have determined what your values and true dreams are, use your home and office, and the objects in them as tools to help you manifest more of what matters to you in your own life.
P.S. Remember, the advice in this newsletter, website, books, videos, social media, etc. is not meant as, or to replace, medical or psychological treatment of any kind, nor to discourage you from getting such treatments.
"Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you. For it is always he who asks that receives, he who seeks that finds, and he who knocks that has the door opened to him."

I loved the Nine Steps to Feng Shui® Online Course.
This program offers so many opportunities for a novice as well as anyone well read in the art of Feng Shui.
The course offers the viewer the opportunity to learn at your own pace. If you don't understand you can re-watch or Moni is always available and approachable with questions.
The best part of the Nine Steps to Feng Shui® Online Course is it advocates making small changers don't have to repaint your whole house!
One of the best things I learned is you can't just make changes for the bagua area but also take into account what the purpose of the room is.
You also get to learn from other people's challenges and that really helped in my understanding of Feng Shui.
While the Nine Steps to Feng Shui® Online Course makes small changes it also explains concepts that I never learned from other Feng Shui books or practitioners, so the small changes have a big impact.
I whole heartedly endorse the Nine Steps to Feng Shui® Online Course for anyone that wants to gain a greater understanding of a complex and fascinating art.

I have previously read many books about feng shui but I was always confused about doing it as a profession because of the conflicting information out there. Moni brings a fresh perspective that is both holistic and healing and she teaches it from a love paradigm which is absolutely awesome!
