Don't Spend Another Dollar Until You Read This!

Not all commercial transactions are the same from the Feng Shui viewpoint. Some money exchanges empower you, while others weaken you.
Feng Shui favors transactions that are paid with cash. Why? Because these happen in the present moment and all aspects of the exchange are completed in the present moment. If you use a check, on the other hand, you have to wait for that check to clear, you also have to take a note of the transaction on your log, and make sure you mentally deduct the amount from your bank account balance until it clears. Something similar happens with the use of a debit card. Using a check or a debit card, however, are better options than using a credit card because the transaction can be completed in a few days. With the use of a credit card, the transaction can be extended over weeks or months, and during that time it uses up part of your mental energy.
When it comes to using credit cards or any type of credit, Feng Shui considers some transactions auspicious and others disastrous. How to tell them apart? It is simple:
- Using credit just to spend is a no-no in Feng Shui.
- Using credit to invest in machinery, equipment or supplies that will produce income is auspicious in Feng Shui.
For example, if you put Christmas gifts expenses on a credit card for presents to give to friends, your friends may be grateful, but owing money will weaken your energy, even when you do not pay interest. Why do you think credit card companies offer low or no interest for their cards, or "bonus points" for "rewards"? Every time you use a card to pay a vendor, that vendor pays a commission to the credit card company, so even when you do not pay interest, the credit card company still makes money. That is not a problem for you, the problem is that studies show that people spend an average of 18% MORE when they use a credit card, than they would have spent if they were dealing in cash. When you look at things from this viewpoint, that 1% or even 3% "cash back" doesn't look so good next to the extra 18% you may be spending!
On the other hand, if you have a cookie baking business, and you get a credit line to purchase a machine that will allow you to package the cookies more efficiently, beautifully and for less money, then this is a transaction that is Feng Shui approved. This is so because the machine you are putting on credit will generate income for your business.
Investing in an education that in the future will help you bring a greater income to your home is also seen with good "Feng Shui eyes," even if you have to put the tuition on credit.
Similarly, if you have found a new job that requires you to drive long distances and your means of locomotion until then has been a bike, then purchasing a car with a loan is justified because the vehicle will enable you to get paychecks. If you have the cash, though it would be better to purchase the car without borrowing money.
All debts are a drain to your energy, but debts that are acquired in order to produce a greater income compensate for that loss with your industriousness, which generates chi.

Because these are online purchases, you cannot use cash and complete the transaction in the present time. The next best thing to cash is to use a debit card if you see Feng Shui as a hobby (and if you cannot afford a book right now, put it on your wish list for later). Use a credit card only if you are serious about learning Feng Shui and perhaps practicing one day as a consultant.
